Native tree saplings flourish around the cabin, blending it seamlessly into the landscape. With picturesque views over the swimming pond and rolling, tree-covered hills meeting the horizon in the distance. Perfect for those seeking a tranquil escape immersed in nature.

This carefully considered and thoughtfully curated space is designed for comfort and ease. Everything you might need for a relaxing stay is provided.  We’ve also added in some carefully chosen treasures—many discovered right here on the land— to add character. Local artwork, handpicked books, maps of the area, houseplants and a vintage wool blanket create a warm, inviting atmosphere. This helps you to quickly switch off from normal life and make the most of your precious time here in nature

The Hide is self-catering and everything is provided for you to create simple delicious meals in the kitchen space on the gas hob or you can cook outdoors over the campfire. It is highly insulated with double glazing and electric heating.  This means that it stays cosy all year round and you don’t have the bother of lighting the fire to warm up in the mornings or when you get back from a long day’s adventuring.

A cabin stay in The Hide offers a seamless indoor-outdoor living experience, fully immersing you in nature. Every detail in the cabin encourages relaxation—allowing your mind to clear and your nervous system to reset. After ten years in our care, the wildlife here is now flourishing and the air is filled with its soothing sounds from every direction. Offering you a calm oasis to escape to.

Included in your stay

  • Double Bed- with hotel linen, feather pillows, wool blanket, sprung mattress & memory foam topper.

  • Fully equipped kitchen & dining area with gas hob & electric fridge & toaster.  

  • A large corner sofa for couples or 1, 2 or 3 single beds for families (these will be made up in advance based on your booking info)
  • Comfy lounge chairs for enjoying the view

  • Electric heating, lighting & sockets (powered using renewable energy)

  • Blackout curtains

  • Fire-pit, campfire chairs, picnic table and hammock

  • Outdoor cooking equipment- barbecue & large stew pot a large basket of firewood, kindling and firelighter. 

  • Olive oil, salt & pepper, tea bags, tea towels etc

  • Books, games & map

  • All towels, eco-friendly shower products and loo roll in the private bathroom which is a 1 min walk away.

Practicalities

 

  • The Hide sleeps 2 adults and up to 3 children
  • The Hide is a 1 minute walk from the carpark.
  • We provide wheelbarrows to easily transport your luggage, firewood and water container.  
  • Well behaved pets are welcome to stay in this cabin. Please be aware that there are children, our cats and native wildlife on site, including some endangered species, so they must be kept on a lead at all times. There are beautiful walks from the doorstep if you don’t feel like going out in the car.  We provide a dog towel and water bowl. But please bring their bed with you so they feel at home.
